For all moms out there I highly recommand to not bring your child to this dentist. My personal experience was terrible. He does not have the patients for children, and gets aggravated if your child is a little nervous. While my child was getting a cavity filled he was getting annoyed that she couldnt keep her mouth wide open the whole time to swollow her spit. While there i asked him if maybe she should get something to numb her mouth, since i had plently of filling when i was a child, so he decided to pull the needle out and held it right infront of her eyes. Shes 5 so obviously she was a little scared of the needle. Which annoyed him even more. He then told me he couldnt continue to fix her other cavities because she wasnt cooperating. It was nonsense! Needless to say she now has a new dentist and will never step foot in that office again! On another occasion the receptionists were also rude by cancelling her appointment on me when i showed up 10 minutes early to her scheduled appointment. They also had me wait a half an hour to reschedule. Others may have had a better experience than me and my child but he should not be allowed to work on children! I do however have to say the best experience was when she was getting a cleaning by stephanie giroux, who had patients with my child and was all around a wonderful dental assistant. Shes the best asset to that company! By the way my daughter had only had 2 cleanings there and one appointment with the dentist and that whole experience is the reason im giving this office a bad review.
Nice people to do business with, caring dentist,
I'm a 27 year old out side of the dentist chair, and a 4 year old in the chair. I shake, cry, and and have a look of absolute terror on my face with any doctor or dentist I go near. I have Severe Latrophobia, so severe that it make me contort in fear and cry. Dr. Hirschberg and his assistant were very kind to me and did everything to make me as comfortable as possible. He told me I wouldn't feel more than a little pinch when the needle went in, I didn't feel a single thing(and I'm terrified of needles too). He was very kind and swift with his work. I felt as if I were in the chair for only 20 minutes and it was all over....and to make me laugh, he sprayed my hand with the air nozzle and I giggled. Never had a dentist with this much passion for working on teeth. After putting a nice filling in and shaping it perfectly, he polished it to make it look really nice. No one knew I even had a filling. His tools, office, and such are extremely clean and well kept. If I had a question or a request, such as wanting a mouth prop to keep my mouth open, the Dr. was very understanding and his assistant got it for me right away. After 14 years of being with my old dentist and fearing a change, I'm finally glad I did...and I have to admit, I love this dentist more than my old one! I highly recommend Union St. Dental. The other staff such as the hygienists and receptionists are very nice and polite as well.... 100% AAA+++ Thank you, can't wait to see you again(shocking for someone like me to say really) :)
